About Ilmajoen Vuokratalot Oy
Ilmajoen Vuokratalot Oy was established in 1990 and is wholly owned (100%) by the Municipality of Ilmajoki.
The company’s purpose is to acquire, own, maintain, and rent apartments within the municipality of Ilmajoki. Operations follow tenant selection criteria confirmed by the Municipality of Ilmajoki and the guidelines set by ARA (The Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland).
Currently, Ilmajoen Vuokratalot manages 25 properties located throughout Ilmajoki:

There are a total of 340 apartments, situated in apartment buildings, row houses, and loft-style buildings. These homes were built between 1971 and 2008.
Board of Directors
The company’s governance and operations are overseen by a Board of Directors consisting of a minimum of five and a maximum of nine regular members, as well as two to four deputy members. The term of office for board members is two years and ends at the conclusion of the second Annual General Meeting following their election.
According to the Act on Joint Management of Rental Buildings, tenants are entitled to participate in decision-making and influence matters related to their housing. This act also aims to improve living comfort and support the maintenance and upkeep of rental properties. Therefore, two regular members and two deputy members nominated by the tenants’ meeting are appointed to the Board.
