Lounea – Installation and User Guide
Internet Connection
The property is equipped with Lounea’s fibre-optic (fiber) network. In most apartments the fibre-related devices are installed in the entrance hall near a power socket. This location has been chosen to avoid taking valuable power outlets from the kitchen, living room or bedroom where the number of sockets is limited compared to the amount of modern devices. In some apartments the exact placement of the devices may vary slightly.
In the entrance area you will usually find two small white boxes mounted on the wall. Through these devices you can access:
- fibre-optic internet connection
- cable TV signal
Router
To use the internet connection, the tenant must purchase a router compatible with a fibre connection. The router is connected to the wall-mounted device according to the instructions provided by Lounea or the router manufacturer.
Things to note:
- A fibre router is significantly cheaper than a 4G router, so please check the product details carefully before purchasing.
- Router recommendations can be found on Lounea’s website, but we recommend comparing prices from several suppliers.
- During installation, you will create the Wi-Fi password and other necessary security settings yourself.
- You do not need to contact Lounea for installation. The router can be set up independently by following the instructions provided with the device.
- The router includes a firewall which protects your connection and ensures security. For this reason it is important to choose a strong password that is not easy for others to guess.
Important – Internet Security
We do not recommend connecting a cable directly from the property’s fibre box to your computer. While the connection may work, it does not include any firewall protection and creates a significant security risk.
Connection Issues and Fault Reports
If your connection is not working:
- Try restarting your router.
- Check that all cables are connected firmly.
- If the issue persists, file a fault report to Lounea:

- The landlord cannot repair or service the fibre network. Responsibility for network functionality lies with the service provider.
Cables and Tenant Responsibilities
- The tenant is responsible for their own router and any cables connected to it.
- Do not make any modifications or installations to the fibre equipment mounted on the wall, as these devices are part of the building’s infrastructure.
- If you notice any damage to the equipment, inform the landlord immediately.
Television
Cable TV is distributed through the antenna outlets located in rooms where an antenna socket is available.
To set up your TV:
- Connect the TV to the antenna socket using a standard antenna cable.
- Search for channels by selecting cable TV (DVB-C) in your TV’s settings instead of antenna TV.
- If the signal is weak, try a different antenna cable or a different antenna socket.
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I order additional internet speed or TV services from Lounea?
Yes. Any additional services are ordered directly from Lounea, and they will invoice you for them.
What should I do if the fibre box shows a blinking red light?
A blinking red light usually indicates a network disruption. Please submit a fault report to Lounea.
